Sunrise: Mt. Lemmon Lookbook

It is not everyday that you go to sleep at 2:30a.m. only to wake up at 4:30 a.m., in order to drive up a mountain before sunrise. It was on our first Friday off that Nicole, David, and I ventured up the beautiful Mt. Lemmon with around five different ecosystems in Tucson, Arizona. The sun shone through the mountains at exactly 6:49 a.m. and it was the most serene view I had enjoyed in a very long time. It was a trip most definitely worth the efforts.

A shearling jacket was all  I needed to complete my embodiment of fall. I was inspired by the texture and length of the coat and how full it stood when unbuttoned. Fur coats are HUGE this season, and understandably so. They instantly glam an outfit and keep you warm at the same time. Although it still hits the 90s in Arizona, it does get very cold in the absence of sunlight and with high elevations on the mountain.

I decided to keep it neutral on the inner layering of my outfit in order to balance out the coat and allow it to be the main element. However, this piece is extremely versatile. It would go great with statement pieces, such as a printed pant or a  fall colored top. The opportunities are endless, but I kept mine at the minimalistic side.

The perfect sweater to accompany you on your fall excursions. David wears a funnel neck light grey sweater with a pair of jeans cuffed to expose a pair of fashion leisure sneakers. The outfit looks both effortless and smart, perfect for looking put together yet tailored and casual.

The look is complete with the perfect pair of shades, and effortless red hair that shines even brighter with the rising sun…honestly! Heathered gray is a great minimal color to wear well into the fall season. It contrasts well with darker colors for the bottoms and to tie the look together, wear a similar shade for the foot wear.

When I think of fall, I think of cute and cozy sweaters. Recently I purchased this roll-neck sweater in both navy and pink, yet I feel like I need to purchase about a dozen more. I paired this sweater with star embedded denim from last season Gap. Out of this world, galaxy inspired trends have been making their way into numerous retailing shops. I am particularly drawn to the star trend, there is something so delicate about a star detail. To tie the look together, I wore this handmade star choker from Outcharmed. Statement jewelry pieces are a great way to add an extra element to a plain outfit. It adds  personality, a small piece can truly go a long way.

Outfit Four: David

To switch up your classic hoodie with jeans fall look, play around with different styles and colors. In this outfit, David wears a more causal hoodie sweater with a playful penguin decal on the front. The darker shade of the hoodie is perfect for a cool and edgy look, but the fun decal makes it bright and fun. Stark contrasts such as these make for an interesting outfit that you will never be bored of all season.
